“I thought people came to Trinity right at the end of their lives. I had no idea the difference they make to patients like me so early in their journey,” he said.
“As well as me, they are looking after Ruth with specialist support and practical skills to help her care for me, and we’re both able to access the incredible complementary therapy.
“When I was diagnosed, I was given 12 to 18 months. That was 10 months ago and I’m still feeling fairly spritely.
“And if I had to come into the hospice for my pain, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’ve no doubt that they would provide exemplary care to get me to where I want to be; to where I am most comfortable, and as free from pain as possible."
