About The Big Jump

Imagine sitting at the door of the aircraft at 11,000ft, legs dangling over the edge and preparing yourself for the 120mph rush back down to earth… Sounds a little scary but totally incredible, right? Especially when it’s for a worthy cause like Trinity Hospice.

That’s exactly what you’ll be doing if you sign up to The Big Jump- our annual tandem skydive!

Event summary

  • Jump and training completed in one day
  • Harnessed to an experienced parachute instructor at all times
  • Jump from at least 10,000 feet – just like the professionals
  • Freefall down to 5,000 feet, falling through the air at 120 mph!
  • Ride the parachute down to the ground (you’ll even be taught how to steer onto the drop zone!)
  • Landing controlled by your instructor
  • Certificate to prove that you have completed a ‘two-mile high’ Tandem Skydive!

Jump for FREE!

If you’d like to take part in our skydive for free, all you have to do is raise a minimum of £395 in sponsorship in aid of Trinity Hospice or our dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House. Find our more here.

Supporting Trinity Hospice

Here are Trinity Hospice we believe in living comfortably, right to the end. Whether a someone has recently diagnosed or are at end of life, our teams are here to support, guide and care for them and their loved ones.

Year on year we’re reaching more people across the Fylde coast with our expert, life-changing services; from visiting patients in their homes in the the middle of the night through our Hospice at Home team, to offering free bereavement counselling to those affected by loss.

We can only do this thanks to our community, who take part in our events like The Big Jump and either raise vital sponsorship. Every donation adds up and helps make an important difference to the lives of people who need our care.

Trinity Hospice’s Director of Clinical Services, David Kay, took on our skydive in 2021. Read about his experience here.
