Robert McLellan is just one of our amazing supporters taking part in our new Beaverbrooks Virtual 10k and raising money for Trinity.

This will be the first time local man Rob has ran in eight months, but decided there’s no better time to pick it back up. “Not only is it increased personal fitness, but it’s raising money for a very deserving local cause.” “I’m on with my training, but I’m not going to say it’s been easy! I clocked up 32k in the first ten days though, which was helped by some lovely weather and amazing seaside views.”

We can all do our little bit to help get through this, and this is mine.

Rob’s also raising sponsorship for taking part in the Virtual 10k, saying: “COVID-19 is taking its toll on us all, with charities such as Trinity being hit hard at a time when they can least afford, which is why I wanted to fundraise.”

“We can all do our little bit to help get through this, and this is mine.”

He started by setting up a JustGiving page with target of £100. Much to his surprise though, he reached this within a matter of days and the two weeks that followed, exceeded it by £190! “I didn’t set my sponsorship target too high because we’re living in very trying times and people have uncertain financial security.” “You can imagine how astonished I’ve been seeing the figure go beyond what I set. It’s been really quite emotional and inspiring!”

We wish Rob the best of luck for both his run and the rest of his fundraising.
