We’re opening two new charity shops

We’re so pleased to be able to report that, as well as being busy preparing for the re-opening of our high street shops next week, we’ve also been preparing two brand new shops for the Fylde coast.

On Monday, as well as our 16 existing charity shops across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, we will be opening the doors to our new furniture shop on Dock Street, Fleetwood, and our first dedicated book and music shop on Wood Street, St Annes. This will be supporting our wonderful children’s hospice, Brian House.

We re-opened our donation warehouse on Talbot Road, Blackpool, in March so that we had enough stock to support our shops, ready for reopening. And we received more than 3,000 bags of donations made in just one week!

As always, the support we have seen by those in our community is just phenomenal.

We made sure we created a safe outdoors environment for people to make their donations, and we were amazed at how many people came with their good-quality items.

We’re so grateful they have thought of us, so that we can turn the items they no longer need into much-needed funds for local hospice care across the Fylde coast.

And we’re just delighted that we are able to open two new stores – our furniture shop in Fleetwood will provide a local alternative to people in the north of the Fylde, and our dedicated book and music store is something we’ve wanted to have for some time.

Our shop managers have been working hard to get all of our shops ready for Monday, and we’re all really looking forward to throwing open the doors and welcoming in customers once more.

Because of our new shops, we need more retail volunteers and we have roles to suit everyone – from uploading goods online for sale through the hospice’s eBay shop, to sorting donations and till work. Take a look and apply here.
