Schwartz Rounds at Trinity Hospice are managed by a group of staff across the organisation who set topics, facilitate meetings and collect feedback for future Rounds.
Clinical Lead
The Clinical Lead is the driving force of Schwartz Rounds at Trinity, responsible for getting the Rounds up and running in the organisation and ensuring the programme's sustainability.
Trinity's Schwartz Round Clinical Lead is Dave Kay.
Facilitators
Schwartz Rounds facilitators champion the programme at Trinity Hospice. They prepare the Story Tellers ahead of their Round, ensuring they have heard each others' accounts before the wider audience.
They help to create a safe space for discussion and contain conversations to keep them relevant and away from problem-solving exercises.
Facilitators ensure that timescales are kept to during Rounds and that discussion boundaries are maintained.
Trinity's Schwartz Rounds Facilitators are Paul Berry, Kirsty Jones, Vicki Lang and Dr Andy Sanderson-Thomas.
Administrator
The Administrator is responsible for keeping and circulating agendas and meeting minutes, booking rooms and catering. They prepare evaluation forms and submit summary information to The Point of Care Foundation.
Trinity's Schwartz Rounds Administrator is Sarah Patterson.
Steering Group
The Steering Group is responsible for raising the profile of Schwartz Rounds and acting as ambassadors for individual Rounds. Members identify Story Tellers and encourage them to offer their stories to upcoming Rounds.
Steering Group members attend Rounds and meet as a group after each Rounds to debrief.
A Schwartz Rounds Steering Group Meeting takes place monthly to set upcoming rounds, identify Story Tellers and plan promotion and publicity.
