Schwartz Rounds are successful because of strong topics and real emotional experiences.
The topics for upcoming Schwartz Rounds have been set, and we want to know if you have a story to share on one of these topics.
- The power of teamwork and success
- Picking up the pieces
- An inspirational encounter
Have you ever found yourself as a patient, on the receiving end of care? Or have you had to become carer for someone you love? What was it like? How did you cope with the change in your position? How was it on your emotional wellbeing?
Or, in a year like no other when we were in and out of lockdowns, away from work, friends and loved ones, did you reach a point when that brave face just wouldn’t go on anymore? Did you feel like if you told yourself you’re OK enough that you’d start to believe it, when actually you probably should have asked for help or admitted you weren’t fine? How did you get past that? Or does your experience pre-date Covid?
With Schwartz Rounds, you can share your story in a safe and confidential environment, with the support of your colleagues from across the organisation. Help them to understand what it’s been like for you in these situations, and help them through anything similar that they may have been through.
Topics are planned in advance by Trinity’s Schwartz Rounds Steering Group, and can be found here. If you feel you have an emotional experience, whether it relates to one of the pre-set topics or not, please get in touch with a Steering Group member.
Storytellers will meet with one of Trinity’s Schwartz Rounds Facilitators to prepare their stories and put them at ease ahead of the Round.
