Christmas trees raised incredible £12k!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s Christmas Tree Collection a massive success.

We collected an incredible 1,400 trees and that’s only thanks to our truly amazing volunteers – there were more than 80 of you – working tirelessly over the weekend to pick  up trees from people’s homes and drop them off for recycling.

And what’s more, thanks to everyone who chose us to remove their trees, we raised an astonishing £12,072! That’s an incredible amount of money that will go straight to patient care here at the hospice and in the community to make sure everyone across the Fylde coast has access to the very best palliative and end-of-life care who needs it.

We launched our Christmas Tree Collection last year, and can’t believe how much it has already grown! We added new postcodes to reach more people this year, and we’re planning to add even more next year.

That’s right, we’re already planning next year’s collection, so if you can help volunteer, or if you can spare a van to help us reach all those trees across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, we’d love to hear from you now.

We honestly couldn’t have wished for a more successful tree collection, and we’re sure it will be even bigger – even better – next year.

Our heartfelt thanks to every single person involved in this year’s collection – from all those people who have up their weekend to help, the companies and councils who lent us their vans and support and to everyone who booked their tree collection with us and made a generous donation.

You are all our heroes.
