Main Reception Volunteer

Location: Trinity Hospice, Bispham

Objective:

To undertake administrative, telephone and greeting duties in support of the Receptionist and other staff within Trinity.

 

Tasks:

  • Greeting visitors to the Hospice.
  • Handling and transferring telephone calls using a small switchboard.
  •  Operating a pager system
  • Administrative duties surrounding admissions and the arrival of visitors and contractors to the Hospice
  • Accepting donations and promoting our Gift Aid scheme
  • Photocopying and operating a franking machine for outgoing post.
  • Operating a sales till for the Reception shop

  • Good communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative when required
  • Be empathetic and caring

Commitment needed:

Monday’s & Sunday’s of each week. Hours to be discussed with line manager.
