Hurricane Sandy spoiled Laura Wilsdon’s dreams of running in the New York marathon – but instead she ran the 26.2 miles distance from St Catherine’s Hospice in Preston to Trinity Hospice here in Bispham.

The annual Trinity Hospice Ball was a sell-out and ticket sales and fundraising on the night added up to an incredible £43,400 for Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice. Thank you to everyone who attended, to our hosts, generous sponsors and our supporters, who all helped make it a night remember.

Trinity volunteer Marcus Taylor has joined a select band of Weekly Lottery winners – by hitting the jackpot twice.

A charity Race Night hosted by accountancy firm MA2 of Cleveleys was held at the Bourne Poacher, with all proceeds going to Trinity Hospice.
