Dying Matters community event
Trinity Hospice is hosting a community event as part of national Dying Matters week.
The event is being held in Trinity’s conference centre on Friday May 16 and will focus on five things you can do to live well and die well in later life.
It is being run in conjunction with the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Groups. Though all the seminar places are now booked, you can drop in to view the information and exhibition stands at any time between 9.30am and 3pm.
Topics covered on the day will include creating a lasting legacy, bucket lists, having difficult conversations with relatives and making sure they know your wishes for future care and support.
Speakers will offer practical advice about living well into old age, with a focus on living with dementia, or caring for someone affected.
The event is aimed at non-health professionals caring for the elderly and also interested members of the public. There will be exhibition stands with lots of information to take away.
