Book now for Trinity’s Christmas tree collection service

Trinity Hospice has launched its popular Christmas Tree Collection Service, offering residents across the Fylde coast a simple way to dispose of their festive trees while caring for the environment and supporting vital hospice care.

From Friday 9 January to Sunday 11 January 2026, the hospice’s incredible team of volunteers will be out in force collecting pre-booked real Christmas trees and taking them to be recycled or repurposed as part of Fylde Council’s Sand Dunes Restoration Project, helping to protect the coastline.

The collection service is sponsored by Ameon and Easthams Solicitors, and is completely free, but the hospice is kindly asking supporters to consider making a generous donation when they make their booking.

Every pound raised helps Trinity to provide specialist care to families living across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre when they need it most. It now costs over £14 million to run Trinity Hospice and its dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House, and last year’s Christmas tree campaign raised an incredible £31,300 for the charity.

Trinity’s Community & Corporate Fundraising Manager, Jo Fowler, said: “Each year, our annual Christmas tree collection has raised more and more for our charity, helping us to care for local people who need us.

“We’re now covering all FY postcodes and PR4, and are hoping to collect and recycle more than 2,000 trees.

“We already have volunteers signed up to help make a massive difference in January, and bookings are already coming in.

“Our collection service is the perfect way to round off the festive period – giving you the chance to do something amazing for a vital charity while reducing your landfill waste and supporting our amazing sand dunes.

“A special thank you to our sponsors Ameon and Easthams, to the teams at Blackpool and Fylde Councils to supporting this service and giving us access to their recycling services, and to James Andrew Tree Care who will once again be supporting our collection at the HASSRA Sports Pavilion in Thornton.”

Bookings are available until 5th January. Visit www.trinityhospice.co.uk/tree-collection to secure your slot and make a difference today.
