You can support Trinity in many ways and however you give, you are helping to make a huge difference to the lives of local people and their families.
Many people are surprised to learn that hospice care isn’t provided by the NHS and as a local charity we must raise over £5 million a year in voluntary donations. Demand for hospice care has never been higher, but we receive only limited money from the Government and must rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our doors open.
We spend our money very wisely but rising costs mean the pressures on day to day funding never go away.
The recent economic climate has made fundraising a real challenge and we are constantly exploring new opportunities to raise money and to promote the work Trinity does.
We receive £2.5 million each year from the local Primary Care Trusts and a small amount from the Department of Health, but our entire service costs around £7 million to run. That’s why every penny raised by our supporters makes a real difference.
The Trinity story already spans 30 years and with the continued support of the local community we can plan with confidence for the future – whatever that may bring – in a world of uncertainty and rapid change.
