New to 2021!
This classic challenge is one of the most popular amongst cyclists’ ‘To Do’ lists. More details below.
At just short of 1,000 miles (874 to be precise) and covering more than 12 counties, Land’s End to John O’Groats is the furthest possible distance you can travel in the British Isles. This event- whether you complete it virtually or physically- is one of the toughest but without doubt, one of the most rewarding available.
How it works
Use your imagination to travel from the rocky cliffs and pounding seas of Land’s End, over the rolling hills of Dartmoor, through the stunning mountains of the Lake District and along the Lochs of Great Glen, to your VIRTUAL finish line at the Northern most point of the UK mainland.
Once you’ve signed up using our form, you can complete your challenge when you want, in any way you want, and at your own pace (although cyclists tend to complete it within two weeks).
We’ll be behind you along the way, and waiting for you at the end with a well-deserved certificate!
Entry and Fundraising
Virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats is FREE to enter, however we’re asking all participants to raise a minimum of £100.
100% of the sponsorship you raise will go to Trinity Hospice and allow us to continue providing vital services and care to patients across the Fylde coast. We’ll be able to be here 24 hours, seven days a week for every single person who needs us.
Although we are hopeful for 2021, the hospice continues to face huge challenges as a result of COVID-19, and will do for many months if not years to come. That’s why your support by taking part in Virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats is greatly appreciated.
How to register
To sign up, simply fill out this form.
The Fundraising Team will then be in touch to help you get started. We’ll also keep in touch during your challenge, helping you to stay motivated and to be on hand if you have any questions.
Sharing your journey
We’d like all participants to record their journey and share a photo at the end. Depending on how you complete it, you can send us a screenshot of a fitness app like Strava, or by taking a photo of an exercise bike screen. We’d also love to see any photos of you and/or your team too!
Once you cross the virtual finish line, we’ll send you a well-earned certificate and medal.
