We grinned – a lot
Huge thanks to everyone who has taken part in the Hospice Heroes Grin and Wear it day.
Here at Trinity we have had nursing and medical staff dressed in onesies, fundraisers in pyjamas, a Chief Exec in a kilt and an HR manager in life boat rescue gear.
All across the Fylde Coast people have been wearing something out of the ordinary for the day and pledging £2 to the appeal, which will help pay for our refurbishment in the adult in-patient unit and Brian House.
Work is progressing well, with the first phase scheduled for completion at the end of March.
Organised for us by the Gazette, the Grin and Wear it day has been great fun – but for most of us, the hardest part was the journey to work. Not surprisingly, we got a few strange looks along the way, but all in a very good cause.
Thank you to everyone who joined in – you have made a difference.
