Grin and Wear it!
Will you join in the biggest ever ‘dress down’ day on the Fylde coast?
Organised by the Gazette as part of our on-going Hospice Heroes appeal, the big day is Friday February 14. People across the Fylde will be either dressing down or dressing up for the day, whether they are at school, at work or at home.
The idea is that you wear something out of the ordinary for the day – so if you normally wear a uniform, have a day without; if you normally wear a business suit, try shorts instead.
There has been loads of interest with companies, schools and individuals signing up. Some are going to spend the day dressed as superheroes, others (the Hospice Fundraising team included) are going to spend a day in pyjamas. If you have to stay in uniform, think about wearing a badge, a backpack or taking your teddy to work.
Linzi Young, Trinity’s Fundraising Manager said: “If everyone just gave £2 on the day it would give the Hospice Heroes appeal a real boost.
“It’s really exciting to see the refurbishment at the hospice taking shape and so encouraging to hear that so many people are willing to spend a day in a silly outfit to help us get closer to our £200,000 appeal target.”
Grab a Gazette to see more details – and let us know via twitter or Facebook if you are going to be dressing down (or up) for the day.
