Paralympian Shelly Woods toured Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice, and patients and staff were delighted to meet her.

Shelly brought along her silver medal and spent the entire afternoon at the Hospice, visiting the Day Therapy Unit, the In-Patient unit and Brian House.

Community Fundraiser Lisa Martin said: “We were thrilled when Shelly said she would come along to the Hospice. She is such a lovely person and a fantastic role model. People were really pleased to have the opportunity to meet her.”

Shelly was happy to give our Santa Dash a seal of approval too – and has agreed to be our official starter at the Sandcastle.
