Join Trinity’s Make a Will Month…

OUR MAKE A WILL MONTH HAS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS YEAR.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A PARTICIPATING SOLICITOR.

AND THANK YOU TO THE PARTICIPATING SOLICITORS FOR MAKING THIS CAMPAIGN POSSIBLE!

————————————————————————————————————————–

Trinity’s Make a Will Month runs from 1st October 2015 – will you get involved?Will Month - Acorn 5

We’ve teamed up with solicitors in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre to make it easier (and cheaper!) for our supporters to review their financial affairs and squirrel away for the future.

How does it work?

Simply get in touch with one of the solicitors taking part in the campaign during October 2015 to request a FREE appointment, in exchange for a donation to Trinity Hospice.

Use our Will Planner to help you prepare for your appointment.

The solicitor will then help you to draw up a Will that accurately reflects your wishes.

Why would I want to make a Will?

You’d be nuts not to!  Making a Will is quite possibly one of the most important things you can do, however it’s one of those jobs that can seem a hassle to do and many people will put it off.  But if you take into account property, pensions and savings, a person’s estate can add up to quite a lot.  Many people are surprised when they stop to think about it, so creating a Will starts to make a lot of sense.

Making a Will becomes more relevant to someone when they experience a change in their life, which could include…Will Month - Oak leaf

  • Marriage
  • Births
  • Death
  • Business ownership
  • Property purchase
  • High value asset purchase

An up to date Will, written by a solicitor, ensures your wishes are respected. It also prevents the Government from claiming your assets and avoids difficult decisions and legal complications for your loved ones. This campaign allows you to provide for family and friends and leave a gift to your chosen charities too.  Use our Will Planner to help you summarise your assets.

Leaving a gift to Trinity Hospice

Those taking up the offer are under no obligation to pledge a gift to Trinity Hospice, however, we hope that many will see this as a chance to help their local hospice.  Just think how a gift in your Will can help us continue to care for our local community.

How much will an appointment cost?

Our participating solicitors are giving their time for FREE, but in return for a new or updated Will, we would welcome a donation to Trinity Hospice.  Use our Will Planner to help you list your assets.

Creating a Will with a solicitor costs approximately £130, but our suggested donations are as follows:

  • £55 for a single Will
  • £90 for a joint Will
  • £35 for a Codicil (a change)

Please note that the campaign covers the writing of ‘simple’ Wills. If your Will needs some more work, the solicitor may ask you to pay the balance yourself, however, most people only require simple Wills.

Use our Donation Form to submit a suggested amount to your chosen participating solicitor.

What do I do next?

Appointments are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.  Once all available appointments are booked, the campaign will close for that particular solicitor.  Simply choose a solicitor from the participating list below and use our Will Planner to help you prepare.
