Walk the Bay for our Birthday
On Sunday 6th September you can join Trinity Hospice in an iconic coastal walk – a special event for Trinity’s 30th anniversary year.
The Morecambe Bay walk is described as “one of the world’s most wonderful journeys” and Queen’s Guide Cedric Robinson will lead a group of hospice staff, volunteers and supporters on the walk across the sands.
The £10 entry fee will cover a free t-shirt and return coach journey to and from the hospice at Low Moor Road. The coach leaves Trinity at 9am and the walk then sets off from Arnside at 11.30am, crossing the Bay on an eight mile route finishing at Kent’s Bank Train Station.
As it is our 30th birthday, we are asking participants to raise an additional £30 in sponsorship if possible.
Lisa Martin, Trinity’s Community Fundraiser said: “We are very excited about the walk. It’s something we have never done though we have had many requests in the past, and many people who have walked across the Bay describe it as a fantastic experience.
“There are limited opportunities to do this and you don’t have to be super fit to take part. I’m getting interest from all ages, which will make it a memorable event for our 30th anniversary. I would advise an early sign up.”
