There’s just one word that sums up our 2015 Trinity Hospice Ball:  recordbreaker!

The event at Blackpool Tower Ballroom was attended by over 600 guests who raised an astonishing £89,900.

It was a night of glamour, good food and great company, with some special highlights to help celebrate Trinity’s 30th anniversary year.

Once again sponsored by an anonymous hospice benefactor, the Ball was hosted by veteran news presenter Gordon Burns and featured a wide variety of entertainment – including a surprise dance act ‘Team Trinity’, made up of staff members from around the hospice.

Hospice President Jimmy Armfield led the 30th celebrations as a specially made cake was wheeled in. As he had celebrated his own 80th birthday just the week before, the audience sang a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ before he blew out the candles.

CEO David Houston and Medical Director Dr Susan Salt spoke about the work of the hospice and guests watched a short film which featured one of the Brian House mums, who explained just how important the hospice’s support is to her.

With acrobats, fire eaters, live music and some incredible prizes donated by Trinity supporters, it really was a birthday party to remember! The dancing went on into the early hours, and messages of support and appreciation have been coming into the Fundraising team ever since.

But the biggest thank you goes to everyone who attended, who donated, who volunteered to help or who supported us in any one of a hundred ways to make it such a special occasion. You are all amazing!
