Listening event supported by Trinity
Trinity Hospice is proud to be supporting a ‘Listening Event’ around living with dementia on Saturday October 29.
Together with the local dementia alliances, Blackpool Council and the Blackpool Carers’ Centre, Trinity is extending an invitation to all those affected by dementia, to find out more about their needs in our local community.
You can drop in to Beaverbrooks House, 147 Newton Drive, Blackpool between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 29th to give your views on how support could perhaps be improved, or to put forward ideas on what might make a difference to the carers, families and friends of people suffering with dementia.
You will certainly find people ready to listen and to offer advice – no matter what your concerns.
This is just one example of Trinity Hospice working in the community to combat the isolation which dementia in its many forms can bring, and to educate and inform the wider population. Many Trinity staff have gone through training as ‘Dementia Friends’ and our hospice In-Patient Unit has many features which make it dementia friendly.
Wherever you live on the Fylde Coast, if you or a loved one is living with dementia, why not call in to the Listening Event and give your views?
