Our Medical Director Dr Susan Salt represents Trinity Hospice in the London Marathon on Sunday.

She aims to raise £5,000 for us in our 30th birthday year and will be taking her place at the world famous start line with everyone at Trinity and Brian House wishing her well.

Over recent months she has shared her online running blog as she prepares for the big day, and has impressed everyone with her determination to do well.

Susan says that her biggest inspiration during her months of training have been the patients she cares for at the hospice.

Linzi Young, Head of Fundraising said: “Susan has been amazing in the build up to the race: not only does she have a demanding job, she also has a busy family life, and has been out running very early in the mornings to make sure she’s in shape for the London Marathon.

“So many people have pledged sponsorship money and have sent their good wishes – she knows we are all supporting her and I think that most of us will be watching the race on television, hoping to catch a glimpse of her bright pink shirt, with her ‘running marshmallow’ logo on the back.”
