Our annual Fundraising Ball held in the glamorous surroundings of Blackpool Tower Ballroom was a huge success, raising over £46,000 for Trinity and Brian House.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make it a night to remember – from our hosts Hayley Tamaddon, Hayley Kay and Dan Whiston, to our caterers Twelve, crew members from HMS Triumph, the Tower staff and our very kind sponsors. We couldn’t have done it without you!

There were some fabulous prizes and some very generous bids on a wonderful selection of auction lots. Ian Hooper and his Band had everyone up and dancing until the early hours.

Linzi Young, Trinity’s Head of Fundraising said: “There were almost 500 guests and they made it a very special night for us. As always, an event like this depends on great teamwork, and our thanks goes to everyone who played a part.”

During the evening Gazette editor Jon Rhodes announced the final total of the Hospice Heroes appeal, which helped pay for our massive refurbishment. Jon set an original target of £200,000 at our Ball a year ago and in a tribute to the generosity of his readers revealed that the actual total had exceeded £260,000.
