Arch to arc ride is a triumph

They made it! Five intrepid cyclists from Blackpool FC are back from a triumphant trip to Paris, having raised money for hospice care.

Blackpool FC chose Trinity Hospice and Brian House as its charity for the 2011-12 season. The club aims to raise £25,000 and is well on the way to meeting that target with John Woodman, Greg Douglas, David Greaves, Leanne Douglas and Daniel Whiteside boosting its efforts with a 245 mile ride from Wembley Stadium Arch to the Arc de Triomphe. The event was organised by the Football League, whose official charity partner for the year is Help the Hospices.

The five completed our Beaverbrooks Bike Ride in June and have only a few days to recover before their next adventure: the 60 miles of the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride on July 8.
