An exciting birthday year
It’s Trinity’s 30th birthday and we have an exciting programme of events lined up for our landmark year. Our new ’30 years of care’ logo will be appearing regularly over the coming months, and we hope it will act as a reminder not just of how far the Hospice has come, but also of the challenges that lie ahead.
Trinity Hospice must constantly evolve its services to meet the expectations and needs of local people, and we will continue to rely on the generosity and help of the Fylde Coast community to keep our doors open and to maintain our reputation for excellence in palliative care.
There are a number of special ‘birthday’ events in the pipeline, along with our usual programme of big fundraising events. A highlight of the year will undoubtedly be the Lytham Festival in the summer – Trinity has been chosen as the official partner charity and we are counting the days until August!
You may already be a follower of Dr Susan Salt’s marathon blog. Our Medical Director has bravely stepped forward to undertake the London Marathon to raise money for Trinity in its 30th year. She has never run a marathon before, but we know she will do us proud on April 26th. Please sponsor her if you can and help her reach her fundraising target.
Watch this space for details of a brand new summer event on the beach, for the launch of our illumathon and for details of our glittering anniversary ball at the Tower Ballroom in September. Online entries are now being accepted for the Blackpool 10K on Sunday May 10th.
Don’t forget that there are always opportunities to get involved with Trinity Hospice and Brian House, either as a fundraiser or as a volunteer. Why not join us in our 30th year?
