Trolley Aide – In Patient Unit
Objective:
To support staff in the care of patients on the In-Patient by serving refreshments.
Tasks:
- Serving refreshments to Patients in order to assist the nursing staff.
- Collection of any dirty crockery/utensils remaining around the ward.
- Stacking the dishwasher ready for washing.
- Checking the patients’ occupancy and drinks required.
- Collection and refilling of water jugs for patients.
- Serving drinks of choice (including alcohol) to patients carefully checking the Nurses instructions.
- Emptying the dishwasher and putting away crockery.
- Other occasional additional tasks required by the nursing staff
Skills:
- Caring, sensitive and empathetic.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to understand and strictly maintain confidentiality.
- Be able to use own initiative.
- Have the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

Commitment needed:
Available shifts as follows:
- Monday afternoon (3pm-5pm) fortnightly
- Monday evening (5pm-7pm) fortnightly
- Tuesday morning (11am-1pm) fortnightly
- Friday evening (5pm-7pm) weekly
- Sunday afternoon (1pm-3pm) weekly
A minimum of 2 hours per week and attendance at any specific training
