Rainbow beach party
What a sight and what an amazing atmosphere! We had 2,000 Colour Splash participants on the beach raising money for the hospice and making the most of a powder paint-fest like no other.
The second Trinity Colour Splash was an incredible success, so a huge thank you to everyone who took part or who helped in some way – from sponsoring the paint stations, to helping keep the beach clean, marshalling the event and manning the admin tables. It will be a few weeks before we know how much has been raised, but with so many people taking part it looks set to be one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.
We took literally hundreds of photos – and our Twitter and Facebook accounts have still more – and we will be sharing as many as we can over the coming days.
Special mentions must go to young Freddie Kenyon, who was first home after running the 3km course in double quick time with his friends; to our little Emily from Brian House who completed the entire course pushed around in her buggy by mum Becky, and to our compere and warm-up woman extraordinare Sarah L.
Our colour stations were kindly sponsored by The Sandcastle, Ribby Hall, Co-Op, Eric Wright, Beaverbrooks and RNS Publications. Gusto provided the bottled water and YMCA helped with the goody bags. You are all amazing!
