Our New Poulton Charity Shop Opening

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Poulton charity shop taking place on Saturday 17th March.

Inside Trinity Cleveleys charity shop

Please join us for the official opening on Saturday 17th March at 11am, where BBC Radio Lancashire presenter Sally Naden is joined by Trinity Hospice President, Jimmy Armfield will be opening our doors for the first time and welcoming our first customers.

Our thanks

This new shop, located on Ball Street, Poulton, has  been made possible thanks to a generous supporter of the Hospice, who has bought the premises and is allowing Trinity to trade rent free. He describes his donation as “practical support for a wonderful local charity. I have been lucky enough to meet the patients, families, staff and volunteers at the hospice over the past few years and this is my way of helping them to continue to provide their excellent care.”  This wonderful gesture means every penny spent in the shop will go directly to patient care in Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice.

Trinity Hospice, is currently experiencing a financial challenge with a deficit budget, coupled with increasing costs and increasing demand from local people for hospice care. In the current economic climate the challenge for the hospice is to raise more funds to ensure much needed care continues.

Fiona Logan, Retail Manager for Trinity Hospice explains “this fabulous opportunity is quite unbelievable and one that Trinity is going to seize with both hands. The hospice is heavily reliant on generous supporters and the goodwill of the local community to raise the £7million needed to run the hospice”

As Jean Seymour is one of the many volunteers who have come forward to offer their help and commented “ it’s good to see the Trinity back in Poulton as I’ve been wanting to volunteer for some time and was just looking for the right opportunity, I can’t think of a better charity to help than the local hospice.”
