Learning Event Request

This form must be completed for all learning events you wish to attend that are relevant to your role and may incur a cost to Trinity. Costs may include course fees, conference tickets, loss of working hours (backfill), and additional expenses. Examples include courses, conferences, seminars, workshops, university modules, higher education programmes, and other study related activities.

When to Complete the Form
You must complete this form in full if:

the event takes place during your usual working hours
you need to request time off in lieu or extra paid hours to attend, or
you are applying for funding or reimbursement of expenses

If you are receiving partial or full funding from another source, please indicate this on the form and provide evidence for the Finance Team when requested.

Approval and Next Steps

When you submit your completed form, it will automatically be sent to your line manager, along with any supporting information for approval. You'll be contacted by someone in the Learning & Research Team when your request has been approved.
