Trinity Hospice announces new shop location

Trinity Hospice has announced it will open a new charity shop in Great Eccleston, supporting exceptional hospice care for people across the Fylde coast.

The shop will open on West End in the village, at the site of Pollen Floral Design, and will be stocked full of beautiful pre-loved items including fashion, homeware, books and gifts.

The shop will be the charity’s 34th across the Fylde coast, each raising vital funds to support people with palliative illness wherever they are – in the hospice, in hospital or a care home, or in the comfort of their own home.

The charity’s shops currently raise over £1m towards the charity’s £14m running costs.
Head of Retail, Paul Guest, said: “This is a really exciting development for our shops.

“We’ve found the perfect space to showcase our amazing items – all donated by our very generous community – in incredible style for the people of Great Eccleston to really get involved in supporting local hospice care.

“Everything sold in this shop will go towards providing exceptional care for people who need it in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, and we can’t wait to open up in the heart of this beautiful village.”

While no opening date has been announced, the hospice is keen to get volunteers signed up and ready for the big day.

Volunteers will help to man the till and support customers, prepare the shop floor to display the top-

quality donations, dressing shop windows and sorting through donated items.
Paul added: “Our shops provide our community with the perfect chance to meet new people, use their skills for good and be part of a committed team of staff and volunteers to make a difference to one of our area’s biggest charities.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who has some time to give – even if it’s just a couple of hours each week.

“Being a volunteer is such a rewarding thing to do, and we’re looking forward to welcoming new friends in Great Eccleston.”
