It’s beginning to look a bit like…..

It’s starting to look like Christmas here at Trinity and Brian House as we head into a packed calendar of festive events during December.

If you haven’t done all your shopping yet, remember our Shoppers’ Week starts in Main Reception on Monday December 4 – come and pick up some lovely gifts, including items made in our Day Therapy Unit. All our high street shops have some bargain festive items too – whether you are looking for a glitzy party dress or some last minute Christmas cards.

Remember that Sunday December 10 is our annual Light up a Life service in the hospice gardens – there’s still time to make a donation and create a seasonal memory of someone special. All welcome at the service – but remember to dress up warm.

And of course Sunday December 3 is the Santa Dash, when we hope to have 1,500 Santas jogging up the Prom. Come along to say hello ho ho!

Meanwhile, school children across the Fylde Coast are getting fit and elfie by taking part in an Elf Run to raise money for Brian House. There are literally hundreds of little elves  and their teachers signed up.

We have some special visitors lined up over the Christmas period – including local school choirs – and we are so grateful for their support. It means such a lot to our patients, staff and volunteers to bring the community into the hospice as Christmas approaches.

If you want to join in some Festive Fun you can organise a Christmas dress up day for us – it can be silly jumpers, Christmas angels, elves or even full evening dress. Get your friends and colleagues together and raise some money to help pay for patient care here at Trinity and Brian House. Just decide on a date and get everyone to make a donation – call our Fundraising team for more details.

Whatever you have planned, have a lovely festive build-up. Christmas is a very special time both here at the hospice and for the families we support in their own homes across the community. We rely on donations to fund our compassionate care – and it’s your help that makes it all possible.
