What time does the event finish?
The event is due to finish around 7.30pm, but this may change depending on the time it takes for the full team to complete the challenges.
What should I wear?
- This is an outdoor event in March, so please wear weather appropriate clothing and dress comfortably with trousers that can roll up.
- We recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops or slip on shoes for during the event. You will be taking your shoes off for the walk(s) though!
Can my family and friends come?
Absolutely!
Spectators are welcome to wait in the bar area during your briefing, before joining you outside for your challenge.
Is there parking at the venue?
Free parking is available at Poolfoot Farm (limited to a first come first served basis). Residential parking is also available around the venue.
Will food and drink be available?
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar / restaurant.
If you'd like to dine before or after the event, we recommend booking a table in advance via the venue.
How will I know what to do?
You will receive a full pre-event safety briefing an hour before you walk. This will be given by the renowned Fire & Lego Walk UK organisers.
How do I raise sponsorship/how much do I need to raise?
All these events require each participant to raise sponsorship, even if they sign up on the night.

Each participant pack includes a paper sponsorship form for you to collect donations offline. We also recommend setting up a JustGiving page to collect sponsorship online. You can do either or both. Click here to set up a JustGiving page now.
How do I hand my sponsorship money in?
JustGiving
If you've used to JustGiving to raise sponsorship, you don't need to do anything! Your page will automatically close a couple of weeks after the event and the money will come straight to us.
Remember to keep promoting your JustGiving page on social media, in emails and through WhatsApp up until it closes!
Paper sponsorship form/offline
If you've raised money offline, collect any outstanding money and make sure the form is complete with each person's details. You can then:
- Bring it to the hospice (Low Moor Road, Bispham, FY2 0BG). Please make sure you include a note with the following details on: full name, address, phone number, event name and total amount inside.
- Pay the money online through our donation page here. Again, please make sure you mention the event name in the description box.
Is there anything else I need to know?
- You must not consume alcohol before or during your Fire & Lego Walk.
- First aiders will be in attendance throughout the night
- You are responsible for your own safety though. Every precaution has been made but please be sensible and listen to the event instructors.
- You might want to bring a towel to wipe down your feet after your walk(s).
Can I sign up on the night?
Yes, you can sign up on the night!
If you haven't managed to pre-book online, please come down to Poolfoot Farm at 3.45pm on Saturday 8th March and we'll get you signed up. You'll be joining a group of over 50 people!

Entry ages are:
Firewalk/Fire and Lego Walk combined: 18+ (or 14+ with an adult's consent and accompaniment at the event)
Legowalk: 5+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at the event)
