What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable running in. We are celebrating 40 years so would love for our runners to dress up in an 80s theme! The first 1,000 runners to register will also receive the official limited edition 40th anniversary t-shirt. If you'd like to buy one of our new bespoke Trinity running vest and cycling jerseys, please visit our online shop.
In the interest of safety, people wearing roller skates will not be allowed to participate.
Is the event timed?
Yes. You will receive a disposable tag which you attach to your trainer - the chip will register the time as you run over mats at the start and finish lines.
Our chip timing system is provided by Sports Timing Solutions. The times will be available via our website shortly after the event and will also be printed in the Blackpool Gazette on Tuesday 16th May.
Please note: Instructions on how to attached your disposable trainer tag are provided in your runner pack.

Will there be photographers?
This year Trinity Hospice has teamed up with AWOL to capture all the fun at our 10k!
Our volunteer photographers- who you might recognise from our other events- will be working with AWOL to capture runners during the race. As a result we will not be posting photos on our Facebook page as in previous years.
Instead, photos will be published digitally online and will be available to buy. You will be able to search for your photos using your participant number.
A donation from the proceeds will be made to Trinity Hospice as result of people purchasing photos.
Prices
If you purchase your digital photos by midnight on Saturday 13th May, you can enjoy all your official digital photos for just £10.00. Click here to pre-order your photos now.

How it works

"AWOL guarantees you a minimum of 3 tagged digital images of yourself, or your money back."
PLEASE NOTE: Your runner number MUST be visible. Please pin this to the front of your running outfit.
Can I fundraise for a charity that is not Trinity?
Yes, the Beaverbrooks 10k Fun Run is the only event organised by Trinity Hospice that participants can raise funds for a charity of their choice. Honouring the history of Blackpool's most-popular 10k Fun Run. With the fee only covering the cost of the event, many participants make a one off donation to Trinity when they sign-up.
Can I take part in Blackpool's Fun Run if I am not from the area?
Absolutely, over the years many runners have travelled from across the country to take part in Blackpool Beaverbrooks 10k Fun Run. Blackpool has many hotels close to the event starting/finishing point that accommodate groups and individuals. We also accept sign-ups on the morning of the event, but please ensure you get there early.
