How long does it take to complete the challenge?

This time varies dependent on the weather and your fitness level. You will have a maximum of 12 hours to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

How far is the challenge?

Set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, the 26 mile walk ascends the three peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent - Whernside – Ingleborough.

What time is does it start?

You will be required to meet at registration at 6.30am.

Will there be a guide?

Yes there will be experienced mountain guides with our group. Guides will be at dedicated checkpoints along the route and will also be at the front and back of Team Trinity group.

Do I need to bring food/ water with me?

There will be checkpoints where food and drink will be provided. We do advise participants to carry their own supply of water and food. Any participants with food allergies must provide their own food.

Are there toilets on the route?

Yes however they are spaced far apart!

Will there be a guide?

Yes you will begin the walk in groups of 10. Each group will be headed up by a qualified mountain guide.

Do I need to train for the challenge?

Walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks is a real challenge. You will be faced with rocky terrain, steep climbs and uneven surfaces.  It is important that you are physically prepared for the walk. You will need to train to build up your general fitness as well as your endurance and stamina.

Can I bring my dog?

For the safety of all participants dogs are not permitted to take part.

Getting there?

You will be provided with details of the meeting point in your participant pack. Transport and accommodation are not included in the entry fee.

What should I wear?

For your safety you must adhere to the essential ‘kit list’ included in your participant pack. This includes walking boots, waterproof jacket and mobile phone.

Do I need to raise sponsorship?

Yes please! By signing up to the Yorkshire Three Peaks you are agreeing to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship

How do I raise sponsorship?

In your pack you will find a sponsorship form.  Or if you prefer you can create an online giving page at www.justgiving.com/trinitycare  - it is really easy, only takes a few minutes and maximises the amount of gift aid we can claim.
