THE competition for all local bakers!

We want to find the best baker the Fylde coast has to offer, and we have two amazing Kenwood Chef mixers to present the person who bakes the best cake we've tasted and the person who knocks it out of the park for presentation.

This fabulously flavoursome competition is being supported by Miss Cake Diva herself, Rosie Dummer - best known for her work on Channel 4's Extreme Cake Makers.

Rosie is super excited about this competition, and is looking forward to tasting the best Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre's bakers have to offer, helped by a team of judges.

How it works

We want you to host a bake off event, asking everyone you know who has a passion for baking to put their best efforts into something delicious for your event.

Then invite everyone you know to get involved. They'll come to your event, taste what's on offer and vote for their favourite. Your winner will be invited to The Great Fylde Coast Bake Off Grand Final on Saturday 6th July where their cake will be judged among other winners, and our ultimate champion will be crowned!

And what's more, it's all for local hospice care. If you charge a small entry fee per cake, ask your tasters for a donation or maybe you could hold a raffle during your event, you can help ensure our care is secured for everyone who needs it on the Fylde coast for years to come.

Every penny that you raise will be spent on our expert care right here on your doorstep. It costs more than £8million to run our hospice every single year, and with more people needing our care that cost will only go up! That's why we need you, your bakers and your friends to help raise money while having a fabulous time.

We have plenty to help make your event a success, with bunting, posters and donation boxes. We even have recipe cards including one from Rosie for her mouth-watering white chocolate buttercream!

So what are you waiting for? Sign up now to get started on your event, and we'll send over your Great Fylde Coast Bake Off pack.

We look forward to welcoming you and your winner on 6th July!

Pssst. Don't forget to share your event, and pictures of your winner, on social media using #GreatFyldeCoastBakeOff.

Did you know?

There's something unique about hospice care, but we sometimes get mixed up with other charities and there are still lots of people who think hospices are part of the NHS. Our services cost over £7 million a year to run and around £5 million of that comes from local peoples' voluntary donations. It's the generosity of our community that keeps our doors open.
