Trinity is a homely place where you and your loved ones will be welcomed and well cared for. From counselling at our Linden Centre, to specialist nursing on our In-Patient Unit, we can offer a full range of compassionate palliative care.
Here at Trinity we are proud of our much enhanced healing environment. In 2014 we completed our biggest ever refurbishment, taking expert advice on how best to remodel the Hospice to improve lighting, the navigation of the corridors, and to enhance patient privacy and dignity with the introduction of more ensuite single rooms.
Particularly significant has been the introduction of ‘dementia friendly’ elements to the adult In-Patient Unit, such as colour coded patient areas, more appropriate clocks and signage.
Innovative ideas on care have also benefitted the families who want to stay close to their loved ones. Trinity’s overnight provision for relatives has been greatly improved to provide more comfortable surroundings, and shared ‘quiet’ areas in the Hospice have been made more private.
We have stunning gardens, with access direct from each of our rooms. We have a catering team to provide tasty meals for patients, who can just ask if there’s something special they would like to see on the menu. We even have our own hairdressing salon.
Trinity patients come from all backgrounds, all faiths and from all parts of the Fylde Coast. We never forget that each of our patients has a unique history and we always see the person, not their illness.
Our services are tailored to each person’s individual needs to improve their quality of life and relieve the stress that serious illness brings.
The journey towards end of life can be a complex one. Medical advances and changes in family life mean that the care we provide constantly evolves to suit the needs and expectations of local people. We are proud to be at the heart of the local community and whenever we can we throw open our doors to host events and welcome people into our buildings and grounds.
We encourage feedback as a way to constantly improve our services – we welcome comments from patients, families and friends.
As unique individuals we respond differently when we are ill or caring for someone who is ill. Spirituality is the essence of what it means to be you.Learn More
