Fundraising for Us
As a local charity, Trinity Hospice & Palliative Care Services relies heavily on voluntary income to provide palliative care for local adults and children entirely free of charge. Such quality care is only made possible thanks to the generosity of the local community of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
The Fundraising department at the Hospice is dedicated to showing appreciation for the community support and recognising their efforts regardless of the amount or the gesture.
Support for the Hospice comes in many ways but it is vital that we remember that however you “give” it all helps to make a difference to the lives of many local people and provide support for their families. The current economic climate is a challenging time for Trinity Hospice and the Fundraising department is keen to explore new opportunities to both promote the work of the Hospice and raise funds.
Our recent issues of Trinity News have focussed on the various services which make up our Trinity family. The entire service costs over £6 million per year.
We are keen to raise awareness of our care for local people and breakdown, wherever possible, the public misconceptions.
We use our regular newsletters, website, our speakers panel and community events to promote our work.
We receive around £2 million from the local Primary Care Trusts so our annual fundraising target is £4 million to maintain Trinity and the Family of Services.
